I don't post topical links as a rule but ... [livejournal.com profile] samoth has just posted a link to a superb political comedy piece by Mark Thomas, broadcast on Radio 4 earlier this evening. Topic: the provision in the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 that bans political demonstrations within a kilometre of the Houses of Parliament without a police licence. It's a joy! It's a pleasure! It makes me feel that civilised life is still possible in this stifling little country.
